A Restaurant With A High Mexican Taste

Quintonil is distinguished by the use of vegetables that are the protagonist in each of its culinary creations. The “50 Best” stands out among the restaurant’s best dishes, toast with crab salad, lime, radish and habanero pepper mayonnaise; escamoles; and colorful mamey seed ice cream. According to ‘Restaurant’ magazine, among the best dishes in Pujol are the octopus with habanero ink and the chocolate tamale dessert with guayabete, as well as a wide selection of mezcal drinks. 

Although her most famous dish and her best known is “mother mole, new mole”, which is described as a dish with a perfect circle of fresh mole sauce in the middle of the outer layer of an old mole for more than a thousand days, which makes for an interesting contrast of flavors.

Top 100

Quintonil and Pujol aren’t the only Mexican restaurants to receive the award this year. In a count of the top 100 restaurants, Chef Edgar Núñez’s Sud777 made the list for the second year in a row, rising from 75th to 64th.
